Plano Thanksgiving 2009

Thursday November 26, 2009 with the help of 225 community volunteers we fed 2350 deserving people a Traditional Thanksgiving Meal of Turkey and Dressing with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Yams, Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce and a piece of Apple or Pumpkin Pie.

GUESTS - 2350 happy people enjoyed a Traditional Thanksgiving Meal at Poor Richard's

SANTA Visit - children visited with Santa Claus, had a photo opportunity and received a toy - Courtesy of Plano Christmas Cops

VOLUNTEERS - 225 Community Volunteers from police departments  from Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco plus the Collin County Sheriff's Department, Rotarians from Plano, Allen and McKinney, teachers and employees of Plano Schools, leaders of Community Agencies, workers from various churches, and customers and employees of Poor Richard's.

DELIVERIES - volunteers delivered over 1100 meals to Seniors, Meals on Wheels, Samaritan Inn of McKinney, CITY House of Plano, Plano Community Homes and the Boys and Girl Club of McKinney
